Admission Procedure : Written Test, Interview & Medical Fitness
Admission to GSPI is through Written Test and Interview. Both will be conducted in English only.
Scheme of Written Test
The written test will be conducted every year at various centres. Exact dates and place will be intimated on the website www.girlspinashik.com
A single question paper in English will comprise of 150 questions in two parts.
Each question is for 4 marks. Total maximum marks are 600. Time allotted is 3 hrs.
The first part will be of Mathematics portion having 75 questions and the second part will be of General Ability portion having 75 questions.
The question paper will be of Multiple Choice Questions Format (MCQ), wherein, under each question, four suggested answers will be given. Candidate has to choose one which is the most appropriate and fill on the OMR sheet provided.
Every correct answer will be awarded (+4) marks and every wrong answer will be awarded (-1) mark. That means the exam will have negative marking system wherein for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. No (+) or (-) marks will be given to the questions that are not attempted.
The General Ability paper will include questions on English, Science, Social Science/Social Studies, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and logical reasoning. The questions for English will include grammar, comprehension, error correction, synonym-antonym etc.
The paper will be set from the class 8th to 10th syllabus of State Board/CBSE/ICSE boards. Apart from this a few questions on general knowledge, current affairs, mental ability may also be asked.
The Results will be uploaded on the website of the Institute.
Interview
The Candidates who qualify in the written test will be interviewed by the Interviewing Board/Selection Committee. Interviews will be conducted at Pune and / or Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar . It is based on General Intelligence, Personality Test and General Awareness of the candidate and knowledge about the current affairs. The interview is conducted in English and the candidates are expected to communicate in simple English
Candidate should bring original copies of annual examination results of 8th, 9th and 10th board results (in case the interviews are held after the board results) along with the certificates of other achievements at the time of the interview. Final Merit list will be uploaded on the website
Medical Fitness
Candidates will be medically examind by selected panel. Candidate must be medically fit as per the UPSC (NDA) notification.
